Sedimentology of continental deposits (sediment petrology, facies analysis) and basin analysis. More than two years of work experience in the Dutch E&P industry: reservoir characterisation, facies analysis and diagenesis of clastic sediments. Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Jena with special emphasis on diagenesis, reservoir characterisation and modelling of Triassic reservoir sandstones of the Southern Permian Basin. Lectures and exercises in General Geology and Sedimentology. Further regional interests: Central Andes, Karoo Basin/Cape Fold Belt (South Africa), Southern North Sea.
